The poetry entries are going to be a collection of poems I’ve written over the years. Some of them have already been published in school magazines but some of them were never read by anyone. I wrote the first two poems in this entry in 2021 and the last one in 2018. I hope you enjoy them. Happy reading!

Disguises of the heavens
Ever wondered how fascinating it is
That the sky has so many masks
So she can change at will
In the morning she’s blue, pale like the sea
The fluffs of clouds adding a touch of white
A yellow ball shining at the brighter side
At dusk she red, as red as fury
The ball of yellow now a ball of rage
Glowing brightly on the Earth’s head
At night she’s dark, darker than shadows
Stars sprinkled across, glowing softly
The moon with a halo shining silverly
Ever wondered what she hides,
Disguising the heavens so?
Is it beauty,
or a mystery?

If fantasy was reality
Sometimes when I read, I wonder
“What if wizards and warlocks were there
Would they magic the world into a better place?
If dragons and unicorns exist
Would they roam freely
Or would they be rarer than eagles?
If vampires and werewolves,
Fauns, faeries, and phoenixes,
elves and goblins were real,
Would it be far more interesting,
Or would they be just very common?
Or what if
In their reality, we’re a fantasy?
Would it be more peaceful,
Or will there still be war?
What will happen,
To the things we’ve built so far?
Would it be better, worse, or the same?
What would the world be like,
If fantasy was reality,
And the reality was the fantasy?

A life on Earth
Two buds peeping, green and green
Yet another life on Earth
So small so frail, nobody can see
This story of a life of a tree
Dear God, he says silently
“Bring me rain to live
But remember, not so heavy
Or I will be his kill”
From time to time, the rains and suns
Together nourished the life
Green leaves, thick truck, flowers, and buds
A tree very proud if seen
It lived and lived through summers and winters
Never bothered by floods or shivers
But just one fear was still in mind
About the worst form the humankind
The day was a gloom. The fear came true
Two men with a blade so long
He felt his pain but not for long
One life on Earth was gone
